The Gibson Brothers

The celebrated bluegrass duo were named back-to-back Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2012 and 2013.  They perform all over the country and their lyrical songs tell the stories that are part of our lives.

The Gibson Brothers grew up on a 650-acre dairy farm in Ellenburg Depot, New York, just a couple of miles south of the Canadian border. Their songs resonate with stories of country life and experiences we all share.

During the 30 years of success on the national scene, they have never lost their appreciation for where they grew up. New York fans have been loving their music for years as have fans across the country!
You'll find their 14 CDs at Amazon and many other sources of fine music!

Pythagoras

Picture
Forged in the heart of Johnson City, Tennessee, Pythagoras pushes the boundaries of bluegrass and acoustic music! If you like the hard-driving bluegrass of artists like Flatt & Scruggs and Tony Rice, groovy fiddle tunes, jam bands like the Grateful Dead, and ample original material, you’ll love Pythagoras’ sound.  The band is excited to be playing at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in July!

Pythagoras consists of pickers from all around the east coast, now making their home in sunny Tennessee studying bluegrass music at East Tennessee State University: Grant Dresnok (guitar & lead vocals), Gracie Grossman (fiddle), Joe Henson (mandolin), Lexi Wagnitz (upright bass), and Gabriel Hebert (banjo).

Creek Bend Bluegrass Band

Creek Bend Band is a Bluegrass band based in Buffalo, NY that has been serving up good, hot bluegrass music for over thirty years.
Their favorite engagements each year have been playing and producing local concerts with the greatest names in Bluegrass music including; The Johnson Mountain Boys, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Bluegrass Cardinals, Tony Trischka, Lynn Morris, the Country Gentleman and Bill Monroe (some 40 - 50 shows total). Their highly successful concert series not only allowed them the opportunity to present the best that Bluegrass has to offer to the audiences of Western New York and Southern Ontario but it has given Creek Bend the truly unique opportunity to watch and learn from the best. This learning experience proved highly beneficial to the band members when they won first place in the band contest at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival. Creek Bend has recorded a total of five projects including two that were released nationally by the Copper Creek label.

Mark Panfil plays in other bluegrass bands including the Chris Panfil Band, Sunshine and Co., Buffalo Bluegrass All Stars (every other Thursday at noon at the Sportsmen Tavern in Buffalo, Panfil Brothers, The Panfil Family Band, and sometimes at PSA Old Time String Jam.
